INDIANAPOLIS — Moms across central Indiana will have a chance to laugh about the challenges of motherhood when the Bad Momz of Comedy tour makes two stops in the Indianapolis area this week.
The R-rated comedy show features Chicago-based comedian Orly K.G., founder of the touring troupe who has appeared on “The Kelly Clarkson Show.” The lineup includes several headlining comedians who share humorous perspectives on parenting children of all ages.
“We’re all headliners who tour together,” Orly K.G. said. “The show is about giving moms two hours to take time for themselves and laugh about the reality of motherhood.”
The tour will visit the Indianapolis area on two consecutive nights:
The two-hour show features multiple headlining comedians discussing marriage, motherhood and parenting at every stage. Specific showtimes were not provided.
Orly K.G. has performed at Zanies and other venues across the country. She also has been featured in Newcity magazine for her work building the Bad Momz of Comedy brand.
As a mother of teenagers, Orly said she checks with her children before including jokes about them in her performances.
“My daughter said, ‘If you say anything about me, I will leave you in a ditch somewhere,’” Orly joked during a recent interview.
The show appeals to mothers looking for a humorous, honest take on the realities of parenting.
“It’s not the highlight reel you see on social media,” Orly said. “Every mom I know deserves this time out. That’s why Bad Momz of Comedy is here.”
The tour has performed across the country, connecting with mothers who often put their families’ needs ahead of their own.
“Moms don’t do anything for themselves. We always put ourselves last,” Orly said. “It’s one night. It’s two hours of your time. You get to be with your girlfriends or your husband and you get to have fun and laugh.”
Orly describes the show as “worth putting a bra on for.”
“This show is worth it,” she said. “And dudes, if you come to the show, trust me, you will be fine. You’re not going to grow ovaries. It’s a super fun show.”
